1. Start Thunderbird

2. In the "Tools" menu select "Account Settings"

3. Click "Add Account". The Account Wizard window will pop-up.

4. In the top box, type in your full name.

Example: John Smith

5. In the box labeled Email Address, type in your full e-mail address

     Example: johnsmith@yourdomain.com

6. Click the "Next" button

7. The "Server Information" page is shown. Select "POP3" as the server type.

8. The "Incoming Server" is your domain name proceeded by "mail".

Example: If you have setup a domain name called yourdomain.com, then the incoming server address is mail.yourdomain.com

9. Check the "Use Global Inbox" option.

10. Click the "Next" button

11. Enter your incoming user name. The user name is the same as your e-mail address

Example: johnsmith@yourdomain.com

12. Click the "Next" button

13. Enter the account name. Use a descriptive name to describe the Email account

Example:
    YourDomain EMail hosted by ChescoWeb

14.Click "Next"

15. A summary page shows the setting. Click "Finish"

16. The "Account Settings" page is now active. Click "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" in the list on the left side.

17. In the box labeled "Server Name", enter your domain name proceeded by "mail". NOTE: Some service providers such as EarthLink require that you use their SMTP server settings. Refer to your service providers setup notes for more information.

Example: If you have setup a domain name called yourdomain.com, then the incoming server address is mail.yourdomain.com

18. Unless you have an advanced setup, use the default port number : 25

19. Click the "Use name and password" box. Enter your email address in the "User Name" box:

Example: johnsmith@yourdomain.com

20. Click the "Use TLS if availabel" option

21. Click the "OK" button.
